I'm just watching a programme about potholing.....I feel physically sick....these people are crawling through spaces that are barely big enough for them to do so....sometimes having to breath out to squeeze through.....it has definitely brought the clautrophobe in me!

Yesterday is experience, tomorrow is hope... today is getting from one to the other.

I'm watching it too Mazie! Not my personal cup of tea either. I'm not claustrophobic, having enjoyed a trip into an old lead mine, but potholing doesn't float my boat.

I'm afraid of heights, I'm afraid of being in enclosed spaces and marginally afraid of water, but I've kind of overcome my fear of spiders...mind you I haven't encountered a fully grown Symi spider yet....think they'd probably hear me screaming in Rhodes if I ran into one of them.

Going to try the chat page now.

There's no need to be afraid of Symi spiders Mazie. Just stand aside and let them pass... Mind you - you'd have to stand aside to let them get past because they're soooo big! If you feel the bed moving during the night, it's not the man of your dreams with the big... er... yacht, it's just the great hairy spider of Yialos rearranging the furniture..

Meet Sydney, he'll even carry your case for you if you ask him nicely...

Handsome beast, isn't he?

I keep looking at Sydney...but I'm afraid I just can't begin to feel affection for him......I've been trying to work out what it is about spiders that gives me the creeps....think it's the sight of all those legs going at once.

I remember seeing a monster by UK standards jump about 8 inches vertically into the air....needless to say I ran screaming whilst others looked on in stunned amazement!

Richard is preparing a few recipes, Mille - I recommend them lightly sauteed with a pinch of oregano Perhaps Adriana can contribute some. We could call it Arachno-Cuisine!

If you knock around with Norman in September, Maziemoo, you may
see another monster jump 8 inches!!!

If this message causes confusion, my work here is done.
