I notice when searching for up to date weather reports on Symi it is always lumped in with Rhodes. Is it the case that the weather report is exactly the same for both Rhodes and Symi as you would think Symi being a much smaller island may be different? On forums about Lindos for instance people are always commenting that the climate in Lindos itself is warmer than other parts of Rhodes so one would assume there would be a difference between Rhodes and Symi.

| Hi Buzzy, if you go to the front page of the website and look down to the left you will see a link to Symi weather. Also if you look at the picture above you will see a thermometer indicating current temperatures....I believe the thermometer is actually Symi based. |
Yesterday is experience, tomorrow is hope... today is getting from one to the other. |

Check the Rhodes weather and then add about 10 degrees!
(- last week we had 37.9 degrees in the sun and 27.8 in the shade!)

Don't argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. |

| Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that I'm reading the correct temperatures. We are coming 21-31 October and as you can apreciate it will probably be quite cool over here in the UK by then. I wanted to watch the temperatures on the days leading up to our trip to decide on what to pack. I've never been anywhere warm when it has been cool at home (usually go away in the summer)What is the usual attire you can expect to be wearing at that time of year in Symi? |

| Buzzy my dear, you really should stay home and send your tickets to me (forget snapper he is just messing with your mind) should you decide to go ahead with your trip to Symi I suggest you pack lots of wooly jumpers and ug boots (is that ugg) cos it gets really cold after September . I think last year Kojak had to stay an extra week as the Proteous was iced in. |

| I think you are a thoroughly bad influence. I'm sure if I brought ugg boots the spiders would love them as a winter home. I might find myself wriggling along the harbour as they crawl around my extremities. Now what are you suggesting I wear with my ugg boots? Perhaps a nice shell suit in dayglo pink so you can recognise me when I disembark. |

Hi Buzzy - family and me there first two weeks of Sept when it was still unseasonally HOT. Right in the middle of the hol - torrential downpours for two days - again VERY unseasonal - so be prepared for any eventuality. Only sure things is UK will for sure be somewhat cool on your return!! |

Dear Admins,
I insist that Eleanor be banned forthwith and permanently from this forum. Quite clearly she is bringing a disruprive and dishonest element to these pages, and stealing the ideas of others. There are other websites where she would clearly feel far more at home.
Trying to con Buzzy and others out of Symi tickets was MY idea, and I should be allowed to get on with it without let or hinderance. (I am prepared to overlook her utterly reprehensible behaviour if she sends me two tickets).

Well Buzzy, if the shell suit was good enough for Jimmy Saville it should be good enough for anybody and should go nice with a colour co-ordinated pashmina which I'm sure Snoopy2 would be happy to share .....and alas wriggling around the harbour is all some of us can manage after a good night on the especially if we've been in the company of Kojak all evening!!
Dear Admins, I think Snapperjon and Eleanor should both be banned for such outrageous behaviour and suggestions and therefore be forced to forfeit any tickets that come their way to someone (from Oxfordshire) who is much more deserving ....it would be a case of Admins'll Fix It!!! |

If anybody seriously wants to know what the weather on Symi is like in October, November or any other month you can refer to the archive pages of my year round Symi blog which I started way back when specifically to answer questions like 'What's the weather like on Symi in February?' and 'What's it like on Symi in the winter' etcetera. |

The temperature shown on Pacho's wall isn't far off being right. It's a little cooler tonight here overlooking the Pedi valley but 23 degrees isn't bad for 10.30 at night is it?
As for the blatant attempt to persuade the admins of this fine forum to ban some of our finest contributors... Well.... What can I say? I'm shocked!
However, anyone requiring details of our Swiss bank account only need ask. |

Can't really trust Swiss bankers anymore, Allan...
After centuries of secrecy and discretion they seem to be handing everything over to the US on a plate, whether it be client account information or Roman Polanski
Maybe the mayor should declare Symi a tax haven for off-shore banking... The gnomes of Zurich could relocate to the catacombs in Nimborio and learn Greek dancing... |
