The webcam for the Symi Visitor Accommodation office has arrived!
It's mounted precariously on the balcony looking along the length of the harbour towards Turkey in the distance.
There is still work to be done to fix the camera properly, improve the image quality (it's a little dark at the moment) and add the picture to the main Symi Visitor website but in the meantime you can have a sneak preview by clicking this image:

Let me know what you think!

Yes. From the camera view Pachos is under the awning on the right. |

The colours are improving now that the sun is no longer shining directly from that side.
Hmm. If I tilt the camera a little downwards I can get people dropping off and collecting their laundry! |

| Unfortunately my browsers still can't find symi.eu. com so the new webcam is unobtainable, as is the the standard banner. I shall have to try something else. |

The big GA ferry looks almost pretty all lit up at night.

Now if we could just zoom it a bit Richard would be able to watch the bus as it makes its way down the hill... |

It's now on the main webcam page, thanks to me heroically leaving a half-full bottle of retsina on the balcony and walking down the Kali Strata in mind-boggling heat! Looks good though-will pop in the office in the morning and adjust the focus. Off to Meraklis for something to eat. |

| And the old webcam is now refreshing as well. You must have used a bigger hammer. Well done, Mike. Try the Giouvetsi. |

Hmmm. The cameras seem to have stopped refreshing completely now Mike. Perhaps it was the retsina?
