Just back in London from a week on Symi after 8 years...how could I have stayed away for so long? The trip on Poseidon on Tuesday was a revelation - actually getting to meet people and put names to faces at long last! Thanks to all those lovely people I met - both old friends and new ones - I hope to be back next Spring. See y'all!

20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did...

Welcome back to Symi. Yes, the Poseidon trips are fun, aren't they? I hope you managed a swim.

It was a good trip. I met up with Peterv again (the first one being on the bus where he somehow knew my face)!

Probably from the Police Gazette "Wanted" page somewhere.

Hi Colette - yes, I was that neighbour! Good to meet you - the week seemed to go so very quickly though that I felt as if I hardly had time to say hello to anyone! Let alone work on the tan...

Like lots of people I found Symi to be quite expensive - compared to Lesvos where I go a lot - but I appreciate Adriana's comments about non-existent local food production. But also like lots of others, I've booked to go back in May! So something's pulling me back.

I hope we meet again, Kojak - it was nice to put a face to the name at last!!! I've managed to book a flight in May with the delightful prospect of finding my own accommodation - anyone know what the Penelope studios or Astro House (Kalodoukas Hols) are like?

If you'ved booked a holiday in May, Artemis, you may just be very unlucky and meet me again. As I'm only a poor pensioner I can't afford a Kaladoukas holiday so I. afraid I can't help you with that one. By reputation, however, their accommodation is reckoned to be very good.

Just arrived back from Symi this morning had a great time as usual, Artemis like Kojak I find Kaladoukas a bit pricey but with a great reputation, we have been staying for our last 5 trips with Dinos, the guy who owns the sponge shop by the bridge, he has 3 apartments just behind the national bank so very central his e mail is simi_sponge_apartments@yahoo.gr only drawback is that only the top floor one has a good view over the harbour and if you are going late May early June you can't have it as I have booked it from the 3rd. of June, Kojak Michelle sends her regards and said keep up the farming, looks like we will miss you in June again we will probably pass in the airport
